Embue’s policy is to protect the confidentiality of all customer data, in accordance with applicable law. Embue’s confidentiality policy applies to data that are under Embue’s custody, whether the data reside under Embue’s control or under the control of an Embue-approved third party.
What Information Is Covered?
Embue Super, the building-intelligence-as-a-service platform, may store and communicate customers’ energy use, and other unit environmental information, as well as, occupancy data which include the amount of energy used, the time interval during which the energy was used, what environmental conditions exist during what time periods and the time intervals when a unit is occupied.
Embue will not sell a customer’s confidential data to a third party although in some instances, Embue may be required to disclose individual data pursuant to regulation or law.
All customers currently or previously receiving service from Embue, whose usage data is in Embue’s custody, are covered by this policy. This policy applies to all customer data maintained by Embue, electronic or printed, stored on any medium. Customer data that are not specific to the customer, such as combined or aggregated data, are not covered by this policy.

What Does Embue Do to Protect My Data?
Embue is committed to protecting customer information, and that commitment continues as smart devices are employed and technology evolves. Personally identifiable information, such as name, address, account number, social security number, or credit and payment information, is not transmitted to or from any device.
Embue protects Customer data by using an access-controlled virtual private network. Embue employees and their contractors may not access, remove, disclose or use Customer data (other than for legitimate company business) nor may employees or contractors assist others in such access, removal, disclosure, or use. All employees and contractors who have access to Customer data are required to maintain the confidentiality of that information during and after employment or engagement with Embue.
